Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday; the revaluations of the sectors , , and pushed the indices upward.
At the end of the session in Taiwan, it advanced 0.86%, to hit a new all-time high.
The stock with the best performance of the session was Shihlin Electric & Engineering Corp (TW:), with an advance of 10.00%, 24.50 points, to stand at 269.50 at the close. Behind, EverFocus Electronics Corp (TW:), which revalued 10.00%, 5.50 points, to settle at 60.50, and Enlight Corp (TW:), which rose 9.98%, 3.25 points, and ended the session at 35.80.
The worst performer on the index was SDI Corp (TW:), which fell 9.97%, or 15.00 points, to end at 135.50. For its part, Lead Data Inc (TW:) lost 9.85%, 0.39 points, and closed at 3.57, while Nishoku Technology Inc (TW:) shed 6.69% or 9.50 points to end at 132.50.
Negative stocks outnumbered positive stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by a difference of 0 to 0.
Shares of EverFocus Electronics Corp (TW:) accelerated their gains to reach their highest level ever, rising 10.00%, or 5.50, to settle at 60.50. Shares of Enlight Corp (TW:) accelerated gains to hit a 5-year high, rising 9.98% or 3.25 to settle at 35.80.
Crude oil futures for delivery in August fell 0.46% or 0.36 to $77.69 a barrel. Looking at other commodities, Brent oil futures for delivery in August fell 0.47%, or 0.39, to settle at $82.23 a barrel, while gold futures for delivery in August fell 0.75%, or 17.55, up to $2,331.55 per troy ounce.
USD/TWD recovered 0.02% to 32.35, while TWD/CNY was flat 2.09% to 0.22.
The dollar index rose 0.09% to 105.26.
