The British chef Gordon Ramsay57 years old, suffered a spectacular car accident bicycle of which he has recently shown the aftermath. He has done so through an Instagram post in which, taking advantage of the celebration of Father’s Day in several European countries, he has tried to raise awareness about the importance of being cautious and well equipped when traveling on two wheels.
“Unmute and please swipe… with #FathersDay tomorrow I have a very important message for all dads… WEAR A HELMET! This week I had a very serious accident while riding my bicycle in Connecticut. I’m fine and I didn’t break any bones or suffer any serious injuries, but I’m a little bruised and I look like a purple potato. I am grateful to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawerence + Memorial Hospital in New London who cared for and checked me, but most grateful to my helmet, which saved my life. Have a great Father’s Day and take care of yourselves,” the Scottish chef posted.
As seen in the video, Ramsay suffers great hematoma on the side of the torso, while in other images he exposes the notable differences between the state of his jersey and helmet before and after the accident.
