Seniors enjoy a special Father’s Day celebration June 12 – Town of Cicero, IL


Cicero Father’s celebrated Father’s Day a few days early this year. President Larry Dominick, the board of trustees along with the Cicero Senior Center brought together dozens of father’s for a day to honor them.

The celebration took place on Wednesday, June 12th at 10a.m. in the Cicero Community Center. Father’s were able to get pampered with haircuts and manicures while waiting for the party to get started.

“A special thank you goes out to President Larry Dominick and the board of trustees for supporting our trips, activities and events. Such as this one today,” said Senior Center Director Diana Dominick.

“Father’s Day is a holiday dedicated to the recognition and appreciation for the contributions that fathers, grandfathers, uncles and any other significant male figure we have in one’s life.”

“Happy Father’s Day to all the father’s and all the mother’s who are fathers there’s a lot of them,” said President Dominick.

“I’m happy to see all the seniors. I’m glad everyone looks good.”

After brunch, President Dominick gave away hundreds of car clubs to everyone who needed one.

“We do everything we can here in town. President Dominick and our administration are always trying to do everything we can for the seniors,” said Town Assessor Emo Cundari.

“I want to wish all the father’s a happy father’s day this weekend and a safe summer for everyone.”

All the fathers also received a “Larry Dominick” hat and posed for a great group picture.

“We want to thank everyone who made it possible to enjoy this fathers day celebration,” said Town Trustee Victor Garcia.

“I’m just very happy these programs continue here in our town of Cicero. This wouldn’t be possible without President Larry Dominick and the board,” said Town Clerk Maria Punzo-Arias.

“We want to thank our President Larry Dominick for being so kind and giving. These gifts will be very meaningful to our community,” said Town Trustee Blanca Vargas.

“We want to thank everyone who made it possible to enjoy this Father’s Day celebration,” said township trustee Víctor García.

“I am very glad that these programs continue here in our town of Cicero. This would not be possible without President Larry Dominick and the board,” said City Clerk Maria Punzo-Arias.

“We want to thank our president Larry Dominick for being so kind and generous. These gifts will be very significant for our community,” said municipality trustee Blanca Vargas.
