The Electricity Subsidy is a temporary benefit that allows vulnerable households to access a monthly discount on your electricity bills.
For the first time in history we will provide a subsidy to electricity bills that will go into direct benefit of households most vulnerable in our country.
This subsidy will benefit 1.5 million vulnerable households, equivalent to 3 million people throughout the country.
How to apply for the Electricity Subsidy?
To apply for the Electricity Subsidy it is necessary to enter the benefit website and access through the ClaveÚnica.
Once you have entered the platform, the following information will be requested:
- Region and commune
- Electric company or cooperative that delivers the supply
- Customer identification number
- Contact E-Mail
Once the application has been submitted, you will receive an email with the details of the process
The application will be semiannual and the first call begins on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 00:00 and ends on Sunday, July 14 at 11:59 p.m.
The results will be known on the same site in mid-September.
This benefit is temporary and will be delivered semi-annually starting in the second half of 2024.
To maintain the benefit in the following semesters, new calls will be opened in which people must reapply, meeting the required requirements.
Re-application dates will be informed in advance.
Application requirements for the Electricity Subsidy
The requirements to apply for the Electricity Subsidy are the following:
- Live in a home belonging to t40% bouquet greater vulnerability in the Social Household Registry (RSH).
- Be up to date with payment of electricity bills. In case of default, it will be necessary to renegotiate the debt or process a payment agreement with the electricity distribution companies.
Users who are not up to date on their electricity bill may approach their distribution company to agree on payment terms for their debt.
The companies will have special conditions for clients who are within the most vulnerable 40% of the population.
On the other hand, we will apply an automatic 30% discount on the electricity bills of all families living in the communes of Tocopilla, Mejillones, Huasco, Quintero, Puchuncaví and Coronel.
To receive this benefit it is not necessary to apply and it will be applied directly to the accounts starting in July.
