The first day of the summer dunkin will be celebrating Iced Coffee Day on Thursday, June 20, which will allow you to donate $1 of iced coffee and cold brew sold to the Dunkin Joy in Childhood Foundation to help thousands of children in hospitals.
This is an initiative that will bring joy to children in local hospitals, through a series of activities organized by the Dunkin Joy in Childhood Foundation in partnership with hospitals across the country.
Dunkin Iced Coffee Day has awarded nearly 200 grants to local children’s hospitals across the country and raised more than $3.5 million for the Dunkin Joy in Childhood Foundation, a release states.
Funds raised go toward funding art, music and games activities for children, as well as other programs, including support for dogs.
Víctor Carvalho, Dunkin franchisee and chairman of the Dunkin board of directors, assures that the brand’s franchisees are dedicated to generating a significant impact in the communities they serve.
Also, he said Dunkin and the Joy in Childhood Foundation hope that customers will once again join in drinking iced coffee and supporting millions of children across the country fighting illnesses.
“We want our customers to know that every iced coffee order on June 20 will go a long way toward bringing smiles and comfort to the children and families who need it most,” she said.
Dunkin expects to surpass $50 million in grants distributed since its inception in 2006.
Bring joy to children
The Dunkin Joy in Childhood Foundation receives support from Dunkin to bring joy to children against hunger or illness.
This foundation works closely with food banks, children’s hospitals, and nonprofit organizations to fund joyful environments and experiences for children when they need it most.
The foundation has awarded more than $50 million since 2006 to hundreds of national and local charities across the country.
