The Federation, which presides over the historic Andriy Shevchenkoplaced a stand in the center of Munich – one of the Euro Cup venues – so that fans at the Euro Cup and around the world can see that “football also suffers in wars.”
An interactive installation was located at the stand where fans will be able to read and listen to the history of the Sonyachny Stadium in Kharkiv, which was built for the Euro 2012 which took place in Ukraine and Poland.
In addition, visitors will be able to use virtual reality glasses where in real time they will be able to see what the stadium looked like after Russian troops attacked it in May 2022.
The Ukrainian Federation detailed that “more than 500 sports facilities have suffered bombings and attacks with Russian missiles.”
In this way Ukraine tries to raise awareness in the world and ask for help to stop the war.
