Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday; the declines in the sectors , , and pushed the indices downward.

The value with the best performance of the session was Ace Pillar Co Ltd (TW:), with an advance of 10.00%, 7.20 points, to stand at 79.20 at the close. Behind, Universal Inc (TW:), which revalued 10.00%, 3.15 points, to settle at 34.65, and Min Aik Precision Industrial Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 9.96%, 4.70 points, and ended the session at 51.90.

The worst performer of the index was Tainan Enterprises Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 9.98% or 5.30 points to end at 47.80. For its part, Lead Data Inc (TW:) fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to close at 3.57 while JSL Construction & Development Co Ltd (TW:) shed 7.14% or 14.00 points to end at 182.00.

Negative stocks outnumbered positive stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by a difference of 0 to 0.

Shares of Ace Pillar Co Ltd (TW:) accelerated their gains to reach their highest level ever, adding 10.00%, or 7.20, to settle at 79.20. Shares of Min Aik Precision Industrial Co Ltd (TW:) accelerated gains to reach a 5-year high, adding 9.96% or 4.70 to 51.90.

Crude oil futures for delivery in August fell 0.11%, or 0.09, to $79.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil futures for delivery in August fell 0.07% or 0.06 to hit $84.19 a barrel, while Gold futures for delivery in August rose 0.35% or 8.10 to hit $84.19 a barrel. $2,337.10 per troy ounce.

USD/TWD recovered 0.07% to 32.38, while TWD/CNY was flat 0.09% to 0.22.

The dollar index rose 0.08% to 105.03.
