Minutes of terror lived Ailen Riquelmea mother who walks from Valdivia to Santiago to raise funds to save his son Martin (8)who suffers from an aggressive cancer and whose treatment in Barcelona, Spain, reaches $1.2 billion.
As the woman explained, while she was walking between Los Ángeles and Saltos del Laja, in the Biobío Region, a truck was about to hit her. In fact, the machine ended up falling into a ditch on the side of the road. “It was terrible, we ran away”he claimed.
“What happened was too distressing. At the moment, really, it was crying and running, and saying ‘will it be good to continue?’”he added in his Instagram.
Then he explained that “A truck was going at high speed, it told us that it had not seen firefighters, but it is difficult not to see them, because they were with beacons and sound. Luckily the truck avoided the Fire Department and went to the side. We feel the pure blow”.
“We thought they had hit the Fire Department, but thank goodness they didn’t. Thank God nothing happened. It was a terrible, terrible thing. “We ran, but it was very difficult to know where to run, because the vehicles were coming from the other side of the road and the truck could run over us on the other side.”he assured.
Finally, Ailen remembered that “Martin’s dad grabbed my hand and tried to hug me and guide me, because I was in shock. I looked back, screamed and ran, but I didn’t know where to run. It was really very distressing.”.
