“It is a song imagined in my head, after being in a moment in which I did not feel happy or joyful, nor at ease, nor safe,” confesses the artist. “Because there are times when you are with your girlfriend, you want to make her feel very good and very happy, but there are people who think not. So that violet door is precisely that liberation, saying ‘if someone loves you, they have to love you well, free and happy.’”

“The singer went beyond being with people who help you walk through life, who are your life companions and who make your path easier, not who put obstacles in your way, nor who humiliate you or hurt you.”

The singer clarified that she did not suffer physical abuse, but she did suffer psychological damage. “I have never been physically abused, but I felt psychologically humiliated, which is what I was talking about in that song. What happens is that since music is like that, everyone makes the interpretation they consider.”

Rozalén, great empathy and sensitivity

The composer revealed the origin of her song, Forbidden love, which tells the love story of his parents. Rozalén’s father was a priest, but he fell in love with his mother.

“It was a little strange, because people were talking a lot. I was the fruit of a forbidden love at that moment, but thank goodness because if not, I wouldn’t be here with us.”

Rozalén couldn't help but start laughing at one of the unique reporters' jokes.

The woman from La Mancha had a fantastic time with the reporters, who did not hesitate to make all kinds of jokes with the questions they asked her, without any filter. The only reporters questioned everything from the beauty of Rozalén’s mother to the real value of the gold records she had, to get money.

Furthermore, Rozalén confessed her greatest virtue, also her greatest flaw. “My greatest virtue is my greatest defect, because it also makes me suffer a lot. I think I am a hypersensitive person. I cry and laugh a lot, I cry every day of my life, and I also laugh a lot. That makes me make songs, have empathy with things, but, at the same time, sometimes I have unpleasant days when the world hurts me a lot.”
