Compressed natural gas is experiencing its expansion in Argentina, driven by the installation of charging stations for buses and trucks. He maintains that despite these challenges, CNG maintains significant advantages. “It is a much cleaner fuel than liquids and does not need to be manipulated, since its transportation by pipeline makes it more economical, safe and reliable.”, he points out. In this sense, Sívori argues that national authorities must support their development in the country’s energy matrix with infrastructure.
“Recently, an increase in the number of Charging Stations for trucks has been observed, especially on national routes. This growth is fundamental for the integration of CNG in public transportation. Provinces and municipalities should regulate their use by reducing subsidy costs“claims the executive of Intragas.
To facilitate this transition, Sívori maintains that Regulation that promotes the installation of establishments in strategic areas is essential. “I consider that currently the existing outlets are sufficient, however, with an adequate regulatory framework, the panorama could change significantly.”, he expresses.
