Through the knowledge of Professor Farhatthey gave a workshop on “Smart Security” at the Atahualpa Yupanqui Hostería, which focuses on working together with young people to develop skills such as critical thinking, awareness and digital prevention strategies. Representatives from the student centers of all the educational establishments in the city participated in the same event.
Ismael Fernandez, director of Youth of Tafí Viejo, highlighted the relevance of addressing issues such as grooming and cyberbullying with all student centers. “We find the participation of all bodies that represent students in schools important. We understand that this collaborative approach reinforces the idea that youth participation in the creation of community prevention strategies for violence and crime is essential, since that young people bring a fresh, innovative and relevant perspective to these issues,” said Fernandez.
The “Smart Safety” workshop not only seeks to provide young people with practical tools to protect themselves in digital environments, but also to encourage their active participation in promoting safety and crime prevention in the community at large. This could be possible due to the collaboration between the State Secretariat for Citizen Participation, the Youth Directorate and the municipal Educational Management area that demonstrates a joint commitment to the comprehensive development and safety of young people.
“We are going to develop with young people from Tafí Viejo an innovation laboratory where the boys will co-design with us some youth prevention strategies for young people.
