This afternoon, at the access to Concordia on Frondizi Avenue, a truck, a car and a motorcycle were involved in an accident that left four people affected, reported principal officer Luis Gómez of the Volunteer Firefighters. Currently, access to Concordia via Frondizi Avenue is closed while cleaning work is carried out and the causes of the accident are investigated.
According to the volunteer firefighter’s account, the incident involved a large vehicle, a car and a motorcycle, resulting in the hospitalization of two minors, an older adult who was traveling in the car, another older adult driving the motorcycle, while The truck driver was unharmed.
«The accident was serious. We had a head-on impact between the truck, the car and the motorcycle. Emergency services responded quickly. Two minors and an elderly adult from the car, along with the driver of the motorcycle, were taken consciously to the hospital to evaluate the severity of their injuries,” explained Officer Gómez.
The accident occurred under circumstances that are still under investigation: «The impact was so strong that the car’s pillar was cut and the vehicle broke. At first glance it seems like an almost head-on collision between the car and the motorcycle, with the truck involved in the opposite direction,” Gómez explained.
The rescue efforts were complicated due to the location of the motorcycle, which ended up falling from the bridge into a ravine. «We used ropes to secure the ambulance under the bridge and proceed with the rescue of the motorcycle driver. “It was a delicate operation given the circumstances,” he added.
