Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday; the revaluations of the sectors , , and pushed the indices upward.

At the end of the session in Taiwan, the rose 1.16%, to hit a new all-time high.

The stock with the best performance of the session was KYE Systems Corp (TW:), with an advance of 10.00%, or 3.50 points, to stand at 38.50 at the close. Behind, CyberTAN Technology Inc (TW:), which appreciated 10.00%, 2.65 points, to settle at 29.15, and Bestec Power Electronics Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 9.98% or 2.80 points, ending the session at 30.85.

The worst performer on the index was Universal Textile Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 13.83%, or 3.25 points, to end at 20.25. For its part, Shin Zu Shing Co Ltd (TW:) lost 9.90%, 25.50 points, and closed at 232.00, while Lead Data Inc (TW:) fell 9.85%, or 0.39 points, to end at 3.57.

Negative stocks outnumbered positive stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by a difference of 0 to 0.

Shares of CyberTAN Technology Inc (TW:) accelerated gains to reach a 52-week high, adding 10.00% or 2.65 to 29.15.

Crude oil futures for August delivery gained 0.10%, or 0.08, to $80.79 a barrel. If we look at the other commodities, Brent oil futures for delivery in August concluded with a rebound of 0.09%, or 0.08, to remain at $85.41 a barrel, while gold futures for delivery in August fell 0.10%, or 2.25, up to $2,344.65 per troy ounce.

USD/TWD recovered 0.09% to 32.38, while TWD/CNY was flat 0.09% to 0.22.

The dollar index rose 0.01% to 104.88.
