The Colombian National Team finally fulfilled the first objective of this Copa América, which was to qualify early, and did so by beating Costa Rica 3-0 for the second round of Group D. Beyond the fact that the result was short for the team as a whole Néstor Lorenzo, was a match in which the tricolor team was able to take advantage of the need they had and got an early ticket to the quarterfinals.
One of the positive points that Lorenzo’s team had in this duel against Costa Rica was the offensive importance of Luis Díaz and the inclusion of Jhon Córdoba, who were decisive in the result in Glendale.
Now Néstor Lorenzo’s team will have its third and final presentation in this Group Phase this Tuesday, July 2, when Colombia faces Brazil in Group D at Levi’s Stadium.
