Findings of gold anomalies stand out

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) defined as a sign of trust in the Dominican authorities the work carried out by the Canadian company Precipitate Gold Corporation, in Pueblo Grande, which has allowed it to discover new gold anomalies in a mining project close to the sites of Pueblo Viejo, municipality of Cotuí.

Minister Antonio Almonte congratulated the mining company for the results obtained so far, which will provide the company with the basis to complete a next phase of drilling in this area, with the support of the company Barrick Gold Pueblo Viejo, with which it has an agreement for several years.

“Geochemical anomalies are indications of deposits of precious metals (such as gold), so the Government in general and the ministry, in particular, are following up on these tasks so that they are carried out respecting environmental standards and to that, if in the end its exploitation is possible, it will benefit the country and the communities located around the mine,” said Minister Almonte.

The official indicated that the technicians of the Vice Ministry of Mines collaborate closely with the work of the Canadian mining company, which, apparently, is very satisfied with the results obtained so far and has made this known to its headquarters in Vancouver, Canada. , and to the Dominican authorities.

The company Precipitate Gold Corp. announced in a statement that detailed studies in the southern area of ​​Pueblo Grande, carried out in the first quarter of this year, revealed new gold anomalies in the ground, in an early stage, located in the parts west and central of the project. “These gold anomalies often coincide with important tracers of silver, arsenic, antimony and thallium,” the company highlighted in a statement, published in English and posted on its official website.

In this communication, it is indicated that Precipitate Gold consolidates a collaboration agreement with Barrick Gold, for the exploration processes of this deposit that gives it (Barrick) the right to acquire a 70% participation in the project.

“Barrick’s ongoing exploration work, due in 2024 at Pueblo Grande Sur, will outline and refine potential worthy drilling targets in this emerging area of ​​the project,” said the company, which is awaiting drilling permits in the course of the year.
