La Roja had a lackluster debut in the 2024 Copa América. The Chilean National Team drew goalless against Peru, in a tight match played at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
That is why Claudio Bravo did not hold anything back in his analysis. The captain was self-critical of the performance of the All-Team: “We needed to be a little more calm, which we had in the two friendlies outside of Chile, in the friendly with Paraguay. That also leads you to face the games in a different way, to not collide so much with the rival when he is very physical and always presses you,” he began by pointing out after the match.

Bravo continued along the same lines and also referred to the next challenge for the national team: “What soccer player doesn’t want to face these challenges and all the games at the South American level, be they qualifiers, friendlies or Copa Américas, are highly contested and evenly matched. An extremely special match is coming. We do not lower our arms at any time and that is notable. We have to regain strength and face the next challenge”said the native of Viluco.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Suazo also reiterated the same thing when doing his analysis: “We make many mistakes with the passes. We didn’t do that and it could have cost us a lot. Now we have to recover to face a final with Argentina. “We want to beat them, although we know they are a great team,” he said.
On the other side, they are proud of the performance of the Rímac squad. Forward Gianluca Lapadula appreciated what the Peruvian team had done. “We played a great game and with this attitude, we can take any game forward.
