Lawyer Mario Arcusin will be the plaintiff attorney for the families of Lucas and Brian Izaguirre and Axel Rossi, natives of Basavilbaso, who died as a result of the accident at kilometer 223 of Route 39 in the early hours of this Thursday and which involved to the provincial official Juan Orrico, who was traveling in the other vehicle and is recovering at the Concepción del Uruguay hospital.
«There is not the constitution as a plaintiff in the papers in the Court but there is the decision of the families that I be the defender. We have a meeting tomorrow morning,” Arcusin said, adding that he has already contacted prosecutor María Occhi and the police station in charge of the operation.
Likewise, he indicated that “they are waiting for the corresponding analyzes such as the perimetry and reconstruction of the incident.”
In addition, he stated that “the family believes that it was not an accident” but confirmed that “we cannot yet determine the cause” due to the premature nature of the investigation.
Given that the four victims—Brian and Lucas Izaguirre and Rossi from Basavilbaso and Leandro Almada from Rosario del Tala—were workers at the Fadel Frigorífico, Arcusin pointed out that in the next few hours it will be decided whether lawyers from the Meat Union will intervene. “We are going to make the compensation for damages and injuries very strong,” he stated.
Regarding the lawsuit itself, Arcusin explained: “The decision is whether it is made to Orrico and/or the province, which is most likely, in a subsidiary manner. Because if the province says that he came at a time that was not official work and in an official car and washes his hands, the trial will be against Orrico.
In this context, he was sincere: “It hurt me a lot that the people in Orrico’s circle did not communicate.”
Finally, Arcusin referred to the victims’ relatives and recalled that “they returned from the Urquiza Hospital horrified. “They didn’t even offer them a glass of water.”
