The next A new edition of CISO Day will be held in Madrid on June 26a congress that will bring together security managers from Spanish companies, as well as professionals from the sector in the Truss Room of the WiZink Center. At the event, which celebrated its first edition in 2019, the problems they face will be addressed in their position, as well as the keys they have to take into account to protect companies. Among them, resilience, awareness and training.
In addition, the challenge posed by the arrival of AI and its influence on automated attacks will also be discussed, as well as the possibility of taking advantage of it to block and stop cyberattacks. There will also be space to learn the details of the new DORA and NIS2 cybersecurity regulations, and how to initiate strategic awareness in companies about cybersecurity.
The event offers an agenda that addresses several disciplines, with individual presentations by experts, round tables and practical cases. It will begin at 3:45 p.m., and after a break towards mid-afternoon, it will end with an afterwork around 8 p.m.
CISO Day 2024 will open with a talk by expert Carlos Seisdedos on cyber intelligence. In it, Seisdedos will explore its importance in the world of digital security, highlighting the use of advanced techniques, such as Virtual Humint (Virtual Human Intelligence). Among other things, the expert will explain how these techniques allow us to proactively prevent increasingly sophisticated threats.
Vicente Gea, Awareness Consultant at SoSafe, will then speak at the event, talking about the most notable cybercrime trends of 2024. He will also explore the growing role of AI in cyberattacks and how it is changing the sector.
As for the round tables, the first will discuss the importance of business awareness to protect itself from cyber attacks, as well as the role of resilience in the face of incidents. Diego Rodríguez, Senior Cyber Underwriter Iberia of AXA XL will participate in it; Pablo F. Iglesias, Hacker & Founder of CyberBrainers: and Ana Gómez Blanco, Cybersecurity senior manager of BBVA.
On the other hand, Jesús Martín, CEO and founder of Xygeni Security, will discuss the early detection of malicious OS packages, and Antonio Matarranz, Account Executive at HPE, will discuss cyber resilience as a key component of digital security.
Iñaki Mendarrozkieta, eCommerce Manager at Ternua Group; and David Cuesta, Director of the AMDSEO Digital Marketing Agency; They will share their experiences in cyberattacks in electronic commerce, exposing real cases and how they faced them.
As to The last of the round tables will have AI in cybersecurity as its protagonist and how to take advantage of it. Alberto Sanglier Contreras, CISO of National Heritage will participate in it; Justo Hernández Ortega, Solutions Engineer at Telesign; Mikel Rufián, Global CISO of the Business Group and Global Vice President of the International Cybersecurity Association (ASICI); and Damián Ruiz Soriano, CISO of Singular Bank and president of CyberMadrid.
