Ordinance No. 75/24 came into force in the Municipality of Balcarce, which prohibits the circulation on public roads of vehicles that have built-in free exhausts or modified in its factory form, as well as defective due to wear and tear or without a silencer, causing noise pollution affecting public health.
Acoustic environmental damage harms the community in general, being aggravated in older people, in those who suffer from coronary heart disease, autism spectrum disorders, as well as in pets.
The Misdemeanor Court is empowered to retain and confiscate free escapescompetition or all types of mechanical instruments that generate annoying sounds.
Retention
To proceed with the release of the detained vehicle, its owner must meet the following requirements: replace the exhaust pipe on site with a regulatory one, have paid the corresponding infraction, plus the charges generated by the transport and storage for this purpose, be removed by the owner of the vehicle or person with the right to circulate with the documentation that proves this and proof of insurance.
Sanction
Non-compliance will be punished with a fine of three hundred fixed units up to one thousand. Each of these units is equivalent to the lowest retail price of a liter of special gasoline.
