The Famadesa Export team, led by its deputy director, Guillermo Beltrán, has been in Taiwan for a few days to be present at the 34th edition of the Food Taipei food fair. This Asian country is one of the non-EU destinations of Spanish interest, due to sales volume of meat and products.

Famadesa repeats for another year, as a company associated with the Interprofessional White-Capped Pig Organization (Interporc), which has planned a complete program of commercial actions, among which professional meetings and tastings of ham and meat products stand out.

According to Beltrán, «Taiwan is a growing market that, although it has a strong export character, also stands out for its import of pork, whose purchases grow every year. We want to present our new plant at Food Taipei with all the advances and improvements in innovation and development that it brings with it in favor of more sustainable and efficient production,” stated the deputy director.

Famadesa is located at stand S-1204a, within the limited Interporc enclosure. Its Export sales figure exceeds €137M (10.56% more than in 2022), of which 31% corresponds to transactions carried out in the Asian market.

Food Taipei is held simultaneously with the Foodtech & Bio/Pharmatech Taiwan, Taipei Pack and Taiwan Horeca fairs, which together constitute the Taipei International Food Show, which ensures a high influx of professionals from the agri-food sector, both from Taiwan and other countries and regions, especially Asia. It is, therefore, an opportunity for Famadesa to strengthen its export position in the Asian market within its internationalization strategy.
