Don’t stay in Europe: “He was clear that he didn’t want to stay in Europe and face Real Madrid. There weren’t many options, Qatar or the United States. There were offers from Europe, Italy, Germany and the Premier League but we rejected them because it wasn’t what he wanted. All those offers show that he is a great professional, he has been at Real Madrid for so many years for a reason, not just because he is doing his job.”

The grade that Nacho gives himself as a professional: “We value what is outside more than what we have inside, I don’t know what else Nacho had to prove. This season it seems like they have taken away his San Benito of ‘he always delivers’, as a father that hurts. He said in a press conference that he gives himself a 10, and I agree, we know how he prepares to be at 100% at all times, it was rest, sleep, food, everything was to be there, and then he might spend four games on the bench and that is very hard. So what grade is he going to give himself, if he is always focused on being fully available when they need him that is not a 10, it is an 11.”
Michel’s project in Arabia: “For Nacho, money has not been the important thing, for me it is, since I have carried out the operation and as a father I have to get the best for him, but Nacho wanted to see a place that would transmit affection to him and that could compete, he does not want to leave vacation. He wants a good project in a good club and for him to be supported, he didn’t ask for anything more. I have had contact with Michel since Nacho entered Madrid and I have always maintained that contact. Over time we started talking about other things and look at the end how he ended up.”
