Pablo Laso will not continue coaching Bayern Munich next seasonThe Spanish coach, who won the double in his debut with his new team last season, has agreed to step down as coach with the German team for the 2024/25 season.
This was Bayern Munich’s statement:
«At FC Bayern Basketball there will be an important personnel change in the short term: Coach Pablo Laso leaves the German champions for family reasons after his first season in Munich, thus fulfilling the two-time Euroleague winner’s wish to terminate his contract, which was originally dated until the summer of 2025.
“Pablo’s personal decision surprised us, but we respect him a lot as a coach and as a personality and now we have to thank him very much for his work and his great commitment during the successful last season,” said the FCBB general director, Marko Pesic “We wish Pablo all the best for the future; he will always be associated with us, and not only because of the double victory.”
