Biden, a president who caused panic among Democrats
Joe Biden only confirmed the worst fears about him: given his age, 81 years old, and his performance, is he in the best condition and mental capacity to face another four years in the White House?

After the 90-minute debate, the concern among the White House staff, the Democratic Party and its potential voters was clear that he is not the best option for this presidential election.
If the recorded version of what he said could be taken and compared with the words of Donald Trump, his image would improve, because he gave better definitions than the permanent repetition of clichés and many of them false that seem to be the only argument of the Republican candidate. But that was not what was seen.
In many moments, Biden appeared without strength, without conviction, confused and it even gave the sensation at times that his mind went blank.

Trump, controlled, but with a speech full of lies or inaccuracies
It can be said that donald trump won the debate not by beating, but for rejection. Republican advisers feared he would repeat the insults and outbursts of the debates four years ago. In that regard, Trump followed the debate plan to the letter. He appeared calm and never shouted.
Biden’s weaknesses surely made him feel like a champion in the ring who already knows he’s going to win the fight.
But the problem is that he does not deviate from his old speech, the one he has been repeating for more than 8 years. He again disqualified immigrants, had ambiguous criteria regarding abortion and lied about economic data – said that his administration was the best in American history.
Its weakest point was with the foundation of the democratic system: accepting the pronouncement of popular sovereignty. He lied when he said he condemned the violence in the takeover of Congress on July 6, 2021. Or what thousands of security forces offered, which the mayor of Washington or Nancy Pelosi rejected.
He also could not bring himself to say that he would respect the result of the vote so as not to repeat the unfounded claims of fraud in the election he lost to Biden.
And the most eccentric point was when he compared his cognitive ability to Biden’s…the ability to hit a golf ball. He also did not criticize Putin for his infatuation with Ukraine and blamed Biden for the crisis in the Middle East.
But those are questions that ask the American voter. It is difficult for this Trump – the same as always – to seduce the “independent” voter. The serious thing is that the performance of both candidates only raises concern about the name of who will be in the Oval Room of the White House for the next four years.
Change the ticket and remove Biden?
The Democrats admitted to being more than lost after yesterday’s debate. They have one last card to play, but it is very risky: confront Joe Biden and tell him that he must step aside. The Democratic convention did not take place and there is still – formally – no consecrated formula for the election.
But it is a very costly decision and there may be no time left to “invent” a candidate who can beat Trump. In 1974, the men of confidence of Richard Nixon The president was told he should resign before being removed from office in an impeachment trial over the case “Watergate”.
