The Lope de Vega Theater (2nd floor of Novocentro) will premiere on July 18 in the Dominican Republic the theatrical comedy “Escape Room”, by the Catalans Joel Joan and Héctor Claramunt, produced by Gianni Paulino and directed by Indiana Brito

This acclaimed work, which has been presented with great success in Madrid, Mexico, Peru, Barcelona, and Buenos Aires, showcases the “escape room” entertainment format, fictional spaces recreated so that attendees can live challenging experiences and have fun with friends.

“Escape Room” is a theatrical comedy set during World War II. The story begins when Eduardo (played by Henssy Pichardo) decides to introduce his friends Ray (Jovany Pepín) and Vicky (María del Mar Fernández) to his new partner, Marina (Gianni Paulino), through an exciting outing.

What begins as a seemingly fun activity will lead to some very strange events as soon as the bunker door is hermetically closed. Getting out of the “Escape Room” will not be easy, the game will test not only the relationship and ingenuity of the four characters, but also their ability to face crises and put the truth before everything else.

Meanwhile, theater producer Gianni Paulino assures: “Escape Room will lead viewers to reflect on human nature and the complex game of trust in relationships; “It skillfully combines horror and humor, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats from start to finish.”

“In this production everything goes to the rhythm of the clock, literally, it is a suspense comedy with current and intelligent dialogues. It is an escape from routine, which puts us at the level of the theatrical capitals of the world, it is living a theatrical experience where the staging will make you believe that it is real, to lead the audience to ask themselves: if it happened to me, what would happen? secrets would be discovered?”, indicated Paulino.
