In the early hours of Friday, a man died and two other people were injured after crashing into a tree last night in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Mataderos, official spokesmen informed this media outlet.
The road accident occurred when a white Chevrolet Corsa collided with the plant and a wall at the intersection of Gregorio de Laferrere and Murguiondo. Consequently, police personnel from Neighborhood Police Station 9A and an ambulance from SAME went to the scene.
The officers and doctors of the Emergency Medical Care System confirmed the death of one of the bystanders, while another of the companions was transferred to the Santojanni de Liniers Hospital.
For his part, the 38-year-old driver, charged with the crime of negligent homicide, was sent “in custody” to the Parmenio Piñero General Acute Hospital due to multiple injuries.
According to the images provided, the front part of the vehicle ended up destroyed in front of the wall and the judicial personnel were able to remove the victim’s body, although a complete cut had to be made in the road to carry out the pertinent tests.
On the other hand, two teachers hitchhiked, the car they got into crashed and one of them died during an accident that occurred in the province of Salta.
The accident occurred on Wednesday, at kilometer 1142 of National Route 34 in Salta, when Norma Córdoba and María Isabel Cuevas were hitchhiking to get to school N°30 Juana Azurduy in the city of Monterrico.
Other motorists passing by the area saw the accident and called the emergency services. However, it was confirmed that Córdoba suffered multiple head injuries and died at the scene.
Cuevas and Alurralde suffered serious injuries and are in intensive care at San Bernardo Hospital.
