Your face sounds familiar to me 11 is coming to an end. The eleventh edition of the Antena 3 programme already has its first finalist and it has not been easy. After eleven galas proving that it is the best instalment in the history of the contest, once again the contestants have not made things easy for the jury. Chenoa, Carlos Latre, Lolita Flores and Santiago Segura, who replaces Àngel Llàcer, voted for their favourite of the night after a tight vote.

Raquel Sánchez Silva and Palomo Spain played Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. Juanra Bonet was Lee Marvin. Raoul Vázquez imitated Tate McRae. Julia Medina sang as Lola Flores. Miguel Lago took on the role of Leiva and David Bustamante as Camilo Sesto, while Supremme de Luxe and Paca La Piraña acted as Akaska and Sara Montiel. Conchita was Sophie Ellis-Bextor for one night and Valeria Ros played Verka Serduchka.

Almost all of last night’s performances once again demonstrated the high level of this edition, but there was one that stood out above the rest. Since last week there was a lot of desire to see Julia Medina interpreting La Zarzamora by Lola Flores. The former contestant O.T. She is one of the favourites to win the edition and this performance confirmed it once again. And it was not easy at all.

“I’ve been Lola Flores for a week,” confessed the contestant, who even learned to move the shawl with a video tutorial that Lolita Flores sent her. “I’m going to do it with all the respect and love in the world,” said Julia Medina, who dedicated the performance to her grandmother. And so, the woman from Cádiz got on the cloner to appear on the stage of Your face sounds to me as “La faraona”.

Julia Medina did an impeccable imitation of the remembered singer, so when she finished, she received a standing ovation from the audience present on set and the jury. For her part, Lolita Flores got up from her seat and congratulated the contestant on her performance. “First of all, I was excited to see him come out, because, from afar, When you came out of the cloner you looked a lot like my mother“the jury member admitted excitedly.

“Imitating Lola Flores is something very difficult. Not even her daughters could imitate her, it would be impossible. But you have done it with love, emotion, respect and a lot of art.. So congratulations,” said Lolita. Chenoa highlighted that Julia Medina had faced “a very tough challenge” and Santiago Segura how “faithful” she had been to the original performance. “How crazy! How outrageous!” said Manel Fuentes.

“It has been impressive to see that transformation”: David Bustamante embellishes it in ‘Your face sounds like 11’ with his imitation of Sabina

Despite this great performance that left everyone speechless, Julia Medina was not the most voted by the judges. David Bustamante took 12 from the jury for his imitation of Camilo Sesto, but Julia Medina was the most voted by the public present on the set. This led to a tie that was resolved in favor of the Cadiz native, since the public vote prevails over that of the jury. Of course, neither of them are yet finalists although they occupy the second and third positions in the global ranking.

After the night’s performances were decided, the moment that viewers were eagerly awaiting arrived: meeting the first finalist. The scores of the gala rose to the final ranking, which was led by Raoul Vázquez, so he would go directly to the final and next week I would choose the song I want to imitate.
