This Friday there were new conversations about documentary and technical issues for the incorporation of 30 electric buses donated by the Taiwan Embassy to Paraguay.

At the working table this Friday, the economic advisor of the Embassy of Taiwan, Raúl Chan, and technicians from the National Directorate of Tax Revenue (DNIT), spoke with the Vice Minister of Transportation, Emiliano R. Fernández, regarding the details for the optimal operation of electric buses.

“We are making significant progress in coordination with the relevant institutions to guarantee a smooth transition in the incorporation of these vehicles,” said Vice Minister Fernández.

This joint effort will continue to focus on the effective implementation of electric buses within the country’s public transport fleet.

The addition of the 30 electric buses to be donated by Taiwan is part of the Government’s plan to transform the public transport system in Asunción and Greater Asunción. The strategy includes the introduction of 1,000 new electric buses in a first phase.
