The OYSHO FIP Gold Valladolid 2024 comes to an end. The couple made up of Javier Rico and Juanlu Esbri left no room for surprise and were crowned champions of the men’s category after a great tournament. The Valencian and the Castellón native beat José Solano and Luis Hernández in an hour and a half, with a result of 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. The runner-up couple managed to recover and tie the match in a second set in which they demanded a lot from their rivals and in which they did not forgive with their success and power. However, the favorites did not give up and did not forgive in the third set, minimizing their mistakes, penalizing those of their rival and leaving them without options.

On the other hand, In the women’s category, Bea Caldera from Valladolid and her partner Lorena Rufo also did not let their status as favourites slip away. and they emerged as winners in the women’s category after a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 that was settled in just over an hour and a half. The match pitted the eventual champions against the other finalist pair, made up of Sandra Bellver and Marta Borrero. The first few minutes of the match were dominated by the winning pair, who controlled the match and won the first set. The Catalan and the Sevillian knew how to turn around what was happening on the court and managed to tie the match, taking the second set. Finally, in the third set there was no surprise and the success of Bea Caldera and Lorena Rufo from Cáceres made them win decisively, deciding the match.

The finals, first the women’s and then the men’s, began at 10am on an indoor court at the Club Raqueta, to avoid the rain. The adverse weather did not prevent the public from enjoying the best padel on an intense day. After the matches, Mayte Martínez, Councillor for Sports at Valladolid City Council; Victoria Barcina, President of the Padel Federation of Castilla y León; Juan Méndez, Director of Madison Sport Marketing; and Christian Nombela, Head of Padel at Madison Sport Marketing, presented the prizes to the winners and finalists in both categories, before taking a family photo to conclude the event.

There have been five days of padel at the highest level, with the participation of numerous prominent players and regulars at Premier Padel. In total, 250 players of 19 different nationalities, proof of the international dimension of the event, who fought for prizes that distributed 250 points and 50,000 euros.

During the tournament, the International Padel Federation (FIP) has broadcast the tournament through its YouTube channel and has kept fans informed through its website of all the news about the OYSHO FIP Gold Valladolid 2024, a good appetizer before the Oysho Valladolid Premier Padel P2, which will be held from September 14 to 22 at the Polideportivo Pisuerga.
