At the beginning of June, the national government announced the beginning of a transition period in which subsidies on gas and electricity will be eliminated. In this framework, the maximum limits of subsidized consumption for users with low and medium incomes (Levels 2 and 3) were reduced, so increases in rates of up to more than 150 percent are expected.
In view of the imminent “tarifazo”, those citizens who wish to keep the subsidies on their bills can register in the Registry of Access to Energy Subsidies (RASE). The form is intended to organize gas and electricity subsidies according to the socioeconomic aspects of each household.
To register for the RASE, you must have on hand the documents of the applicant and of all the people who live in the home; data on the employment situation; total monthly income of the household; and the CUIT or CUIL number. In addition, the meter, customer, account and contract numbers and/or NIS (Supply Identification Number) are required.
Step by step, how to apply for the subsidy
- You must go to the website of the Ministry of Energy and complete the Energy Subsidy Access Registry (RASE) form.
- The steps indicated in the form must be followed. Here, it is important to review all the data entered, since the form is a sworn statement.
- Upon completion, the applicant will receive a confirmation code for their application, which they can download as a PDF file and save as proof. This code is vital for tracking the process through the Mi Argentina application.
