The Civil Guard found this Saturday in a house in Las Pedroñeras (Cuenca) the dismembered bodies of a woman and her two children aged 5 and 7, allegedly at the hands of the children’s ex-partner and father, who has been arrested by the Civil Guard.

According to sources from the investigation, a friend of the woman reported her disappearance yesterday afternoon, so the agents activated the search.

In a house adjacent to where the woman lived, the agents found the three dismembered bodies this Saturday inside a chest.

Sources close to the investigation have told EFE that the woman was in the VioGén police system and had a restraining order against her attacker, a 44-year-old man.

Inside the house where he was detained, the agents found a bloody knife and several articles of clothing with traces of blood.

Four women and two minors murdered in three cases of gender-based violence

This case is added to that of a 20-year-old girl and her mother murdered by her ex-partner in Zafarraya (Granada), and another 76-year-old girl in Fuengirola, Málaga, also killed supposedly at the hands of her husband, are the six victims of crimes of sexist violence in the last hours.

In Andalusia, two cases of sexist violence have been recorded in the last few hours, in Granada and Malaga.

A 34-year-old Spanish man with no history of gender-based violence has killed his partner, aged 20, and her mother, aged 49, and then committed suicide.

According to the Government’s sub-delegate in Granada, José Antonio Montilla, the deceased young woman was not in the protection system for victims of gender violence (VioGen) and there were no previous complaints of abuse.

The ex-couple, Spanish and with a history not linked to gender violence, as investigation sources have detailed to EFE, used a shotgun to end the lives of the two women and, according to the main hypothesis of the investigation, he subsequently moved to his home and used the same weapon to commit suicide.

And in Fuengirola (Málaga), a 76-year-old woman has died at the hands of her partner, a 75-year-old man who supposedly strangled her and subsequently attempted suicide by swallowing pills.

The events occurred after 11:10 p.m. yesterday, Friday, on Juan Sebastián Elcano street, near the town’s promenade. The alleged attacker is out of danger and has already been arrested.
