Tete Pineda ‘celebrates life’ by moving the jury of the Tele 5 program ‘X Factor’ with his music

Rarely can you see as much emotion on the stage of a talent show as in the space of TV 5 ‘X Factor’ this Monday, in which the Lucentino singer returned to a television set Tete Pineda.

A year ago, Tete fainted while performing. Cancer showed its face by surprisebut after a surgical intervention and a few months of hard treatment, in which the support of his family and the unconditional support of those who love him most were essential, Tete returned to doing what he likes most, singing.

This Monday Tete left a message on his social networks: “Today is going to be a beautiful day, of feeling, of telling songs and of leaving a bad streak behind.” So it was. The man from Lucien demonstrated again in a “prime time” program how he feels the music and how much he is able to transmit with his voice.

In the preamble to his performance, Tete told his story to the judges of the program –the Argentine artist Lali Espósito and the singers and composers Abraham Mateo, Willy Bárcenas and Vanesa Martín– ensuring that his intention after this difficult period is “celebrate life” on stage. “I saw another opportunity and I thought: ‘Life is for me’. “I have died and I have been resurrected,” said the Lucentino singer, after telling how he received the call inviting him to participate in the program just during a check-up with his oncologist.

And then came the music. Tete sang one of Manuel Carrasco’s most special songs, ‘I’m lucky’and his heartfelt performance brought out first the emotions and then the tears in the eyes of the “talent” judges and even the host of the program, Ion Aramendi, while the audience cheered his name.

The prolonged hug and the beautiful words that I dedicate to him are especially emotional. Vanesa Martin: “I speed up when something breaks me and rips out my heart, soul and emotions like you have done. I put myself in your place of fear. What you have had to go through, what to overcome, the bravery that you have dressed yourself to come to a program.”

Tete got the “yes” from the four judges of the contest, a well-deserved gift for those who have fought and continue to fight hard to continue growing as an artist despite everything.
