The Rings of Power season 2 presents the new face of the leader of the orcs

In a couple of months Prime Video will bring season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Powerthe new one series based on the literary universe of JRR Tolkien whose plot serves as a prequel to the events of Peter Jackson’s film saga.

The plot of the series follows, among other things, Sauron’s rise from the shadows with the intention of forming the kingdom of Mordor together with his army of orcs to, little by little, conquer Middle Earth, harboring chaos and darkness everywhere.

The only way to stop the Dark Lord is for all races to join forces and thus ensure that peace reigns again in Middle-earth.

Meet the new leader of the orcs in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2

One of the surprises of season 1 of Prime Video is that the orcs did not recognize Sauron, the future great villain of JRR Tolkien’s novels, as their leader.

Instead, they follow a fallen elf named Adar, whose intention is to protect the orcs from both Sauron and the elves themselves.

However, in this new season there are significant changes, since the character will adopt a new face because Joseph Mawle no longer participates in season 2, being replaced in his place by Sam Hazeldine.

To open your mouth, Entertainment Weekly has shared new images of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 with the new face of the leader of the orcs, as well as the image of the actor himself, as you can see in the gallery that we leave you below.

“For me, the attractive thing was that He is a dark character, but he does not see himself as a villain. He is only trying to protect his children, the Uruk. So he is doing what he feels he must do to save them from genocide, whether from Sauron, who sees them as cannon fodder, or from the elves.

At the beginning of the season, To give he’s in some sort of existential crisis because he doesn’t really know what to do next. Sure, they’ll have to deal with several attacks, but he’s finished what he set out to do.

You took on the responsibility of caring for these children of yours and finding them a home, and now you have done so. “This establishes his call to adventure in season 2,” says the actor about what fans will expect from his character in the new episodes.

season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power premieres on Prime Video on August 29, 2024. Are you looking forward to seeing how the series continues? Tell us in the comments.
