One of the star actors of Cris Morena’s youth series left the television sets to undertake a new challenge linked to his vocation, the economy. Guillermo Santa Cruz, who had leading roles in strips such as Chiquititas and Rebelde Way, held a position as an external consultant for the Ministry of Agriculture of the Nation.
The native of Buenos Aires was born on January 6, 1984 and had his first experience on the big screen at the age of 4, in the film Sur. On that occasion, he played the son of Susú Pecoraro and, of course, he performed a minor performance in accordance with his age. At the age of 19, his father received a job offer in China and, without being certain about his future, he decided to accompany him on the adventure through Asian lands. “I started studying the language, which is a great tool, but I wanted to do something else and I started a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. I ended up graduating from Peking University,” the young man explained in an interview with Diario Show.
On one occasion, a group of foreign girls recognized him for his television roles and, in this way, his classmates found out that he was a public figure in Argentina: “I saw them passing by, looking at me and whispering. At one point they cheer up and ask me what country he was from. “When I told them, they started screaming and couldn’t believe their happiness,”

In turn, the interpreter who became a financial expert spent eight years at the study house located in the capital of the eastern power: there, he ended up becoming a leading professional. Thanks to his ties with the country, he worked in Foreign Trade and International Relations, always linked to the relationship between States.
Santa Cruz even claims that he receives thousands of messages through social networks. Currently, the economist has more than 50,000 followers on his official Instagram: “I am surprised and flattered. Contact is direct and daily. They write to me from all over the world and I always take the time to respond.”
