The legacy of Fernando Gaitán, creator of I am Betty the Ugly one

One of the biggest challenges for creators of Ugly Betty: The story continues was to maintain the essence of the work of Fernando Gaitán, the writer of the original telenovela who died on January 29, 2019.

His work, broadcast in more than 100 countries and translated into 25 languages, has 28 adaptations in various places such as India, Germany, Israel, Croatia, Holland and Vietnam.

“There is a responsibility to take care of that legacy, that universe that he left us already created. We have been very delicate and respectful with that, trying to pay tribute to him. I feel that way and there is the essence of his story, of his characters, I feel that ( Gaitán) accompanies us,” said Orozco.

When it premieres Ugly Betty on Prime Video?

The new episodes of Ugly Betty will be available to subscribers of Prime Video from Friday July 19.
