Although Andrea Serna took on presenting the reality show again and went to Tobia for several weeks, her role as a mother continues to be one of her priorities. Natalia Rueda, who is part of the production team, explains to Emilia what she has to do and gives her instructions, then accompanies her to “compete” in the yellow box. Serna explained in an interview with Caracol TV that, unlike other formats, Desafío is recorded continuously regardless of weekends or holidays, which forces her to be away from her family for several days.
“The first thing, before any logistics, is that we have always spoken very clearly with my little daughter, who is the one we protect in these comings and goings so that she always feels accompanied and with that taste of family at home,” said Serna. .
She also explained that in previous editions it was easy to take Emilia with her to the Challenge recordings. When the reality show was made in Cap Cana, her daughter was in the garden and managing to take her was not a problem. Then, in 2021 the format was recorded during the pandemic, so Emilia had virtual classes and could take them from Tobia.
According to Andrea Serna, her daughter is a fan of the Challenge. She has grown up watching her mother on the program and that has made Emilia feel affection and curiosity about him. “She enjoys it more than you can imagine, because if there is a “challenger” in this country, it is her.”
