The premiere of the last part of The Bridgertons 3 has brought to the scene the big question: Which Bridgerton will be the protagonist of season 4? Although no details have yet been given about who will be the next brother to lead the plot main, the end of the third installment for Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) leaves a most interesting narrative open.

Francesca ends up marrying Lord John Sterling (Victor Alli) and decide to go live in Scotland with the Earl of Kilmartin’s cousin, Michaela Stirling, and Eloise. In the books Michaela is Michael, a man, which would give a queer twist to what Julia Quinn wrote. Although no one knows what will happen in the fourth season, Hannah Dodd wanted to talk about the end of his character in the third season and its future.

“I’m very excited seeing the reactions of the fans. That day we had the best day on set. We are very lucky having Victor Alli,” Dodd has said about his teammate E-news.

“I’m sure our writers will do a nice job by telling whatever story they want to tell, but I don’t know if we will follow what happens in the books. But if that happens, poor Francesca many things still await you by the way. But it’s a very nice story, so I’ll be glad if I can ever tell it,” the actress added, referring to that change from Michael to Michaela at the end of the third season.

“I hope fans of the show absolutely fall in love with John because he’s handsome and charming and what they have is a very special bond which is slightly different from what we may have seen with other characters before,” he finished.

An ending open to many possible plots, since in the list Because Benedict is the protagonist brother, he is the tough competitor.. The third season has already taken a leap by first telling the story of Colin and Penelope. We will have to continue waiting to find out if its time has come or if, on the contrary, another Bridgerton will once again take the lead.

Attention spoilers

If it were to be Francesca’s turn, fans could see some truly significant changes from the book. In it, Lord John Stirling Earl of Kilmartin dies and Francesca falls in love with her cousin Michael. Now, knowing that this character in the series is Michaela could mean entering fully into a queer plot completely different from what has been seen so far in the series.
