In the program “Morandé with Company”a series of actors and models paraded who put on funny sketches, which made viewers laugh for more than 20 years, during its time broadcast on Mega screens.
In the first years of the program, which was characterized by having different segments, one of the most beloved characters was “Zumba”an “astrologer” who made a series of hilarious predictions, which caused laughter because of how unusual they were.

“The great Zumba is coming”
The person behind this character, whose typical phrase was “the great Zumba is coming”, was Alfonso López, who in addition to acting in the program was one of the producers of the space, being years later the creative mind of “El Muro”, one of the most successful stages of “Morandé con Compañía”.
The truth is that his character only lasted a few seasons, since Alfonso, after producing “El Muro”, dedicated himself exclusively to work behind the screen which lasted until 2019, the year in which he decided to resign from the program for two reasons: looking for new horizons and creative differences.
“I had already been in the program for 15 years and felt it was time for a change. I wanted to dedicate myself to other projects and explore other things (…) I felt that the program was changing and that it was no longer the same. I wanted to continue doing humor, but in a different way,” he said in an interview reported by FMDOS.

The change in the life of Alfonso López
Alfonso was one of the many entrepreneurs who have seen social networks as an opportunity to create a business and thus have new sources of income. In the case of López, in 2023 he opened an Instagram account in which he is dedicated to uploading different types of recipes.
In his role as chef, Alfonso has shown several preparations in which he demonstrates his versatility in the kitchen. These range from typical Chilean dishes such as pastel de choclo, to recipes from abroad such as Malay pizza and Peruvian ceviche.
At the beginning of May 2024, Alfonso launched another venture, together with a friend, called “Secos pa’l asado”, with which he offers the service of roasts and preparations of meat, fish and vegetables at homewhether for parties, meetings and private events.
“Our motto is that it is not a simple barbecue, but an experience, the same thing we do with our friends, we replicate it with our clients,” can be read in the description of a video in which you can see what their preparation is like. .
