The long-awaited series by Alfonso Cuarón and Cate Blanchett already has a premiere date

The Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron the series will premiere Disclaimera psychological thriller starring the Australian actress Cate Blanchett and the American Kevin Kline, next October 11. The series will make its debut with the release of the first two chapters, followed by other new episodes that will come out every Friday until November 15, the digital platform Apple TV+ announced this Tuesday in a statement.

Written and directed by Cuarón, Disclaimer will have a total of seven chapters and is based on the homonymous level written by Renee Knight. Blanchett steps into the shoes of Catherine Ravenscroft, a renowned journalist who one day receives a novel by an unknown author and is horrified to realize that she is the main protagonist of a story that exposes her darkest secrets.

Added to the cast of this series and the protagonist’s rush to reveal as soon as possible the identity of a writer capable of uncovering his past and destroying his family relationships is a cast made up of Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George, Hoyeon Jung.

Winner of four Oscar awards, Cuarón signed a production agreement with Apple TV+ in October 2019 to develop different projects for the small screen. The Mexican won the statuettes for best direction and best editing for the science fiction thriller Gravity (“Gravity”, 2013) and those for best direction and best photography by Rome (2018).
