06/28/2024, Veracruz, Ver.- Authorities from the Universidad Veracruzana (UV) and the Hospital Español (HE) of Veracruz formally presented the general collaboration agreement that establishes the bases for carrying out joint activities in the areas of health, social security and extension of services, related to academic, scientific, technological and linkage development.

The vice-rector of the Veracruz region of the UV, Rubén Edel Navarro, and the general director of the HE, Antonio Ramos de la Medina, led the formal ceremony in the auditorium of the hospital institution.

In his message, Ramos de la Medina highlighted the importance of inter-institutional collaboration to achieve common goals: “It is essential to work formally with UV, from which I am a proud graduate. In our hospital we have interns, social service interns and residents, which is not common in private hospitals. This collaboration is very important and valuable.”

In turn, Edel Navarro pointed out that shared leadership, synergy and harmonization of efforts are essential to have a positive impact on society, and celebrated the scope that the agreement will have.

“This will directly benefit our student and academic community in the Health Sciences Area, which will be able to join research projects, generate scientific products and participate in academic and healthcare activities of local, national and international significance,” he said.

The protocol ceremony was attended by authorities from the Vice-Rector’s Office and directors of the faculties of the Academic Area of ​​Health Sciences in the region, as well as directors and medical staff from the HE.
