season 3 of The Bridgertons is now available in full on Netflix and with it the love story between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).
And as is becoming common in the series based on Julia Quinn’s novels, there was no shortage of sex scenes that we have also been able to see in the previous installments. However, many people have not received Nicola Coughlan’s nudes well for not having a regulatory body.
Something that her partner Simone Ashley has echoed and that she has defended without blinking when asked about it during the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in Monaco:
Haters gonna hate and I think we can all relate to that hate, but I really don’t think she lets it bother her. She has a strong and fruitful career and a whole life ahead of her. I truly believe in her, as does the world. I think Nicola is absolutely flawless. She’s a beautiful, strong, confident woman. And smart. Watching her do this press tour and spread so much joy and inspiration to everyone, especially women, all over the world
Ashley plays Kate, Anthony’s (Jonathan Bailey) love interest in season 2 and who we have been able to see again in season 3 with Bailey. Something that did not happen with Regé-Jean Page.
Regarding the press conferences that Nicola Coughlan has held, one stands out above all, to which she answers a fan when he mentions that has been “brave” when filming sex scenes The Bridgertons:
