What happens if you had Disney+, Star+ or Combo+ before the merger?
If you had Disney+, Star+ or Combo+ before the merger that occurred on June 26, 2024, you will automatically access the Disney+ Premium plan ($10,549 final monthly) that includes content from Star and ESPN.
If this is your first time on Disney+, you will be able to access your subscription with the same login information you used on Star+. In this case you will have to reconfigure your main profile and then you will be able to access the available content.
How to watch Star+ and ESPN on Disney+?
To watch Star+ and ESPN content on Disney+, you will need to be subscribed to Disney+ and log in to your account (remember that if this is your first time on Disney+, you will be able to access your subscription with the same login details you used on Star+). You’ll just need to log in to the Disney+ website or open the app, then select one of these two options:

Will it be possible to download content from Star and ESPN on Disney+?
The possibility of downloads, and the amount of content that can be downloaded, will depend on the subscription that each user has. Subscriptions to Disney+ Standard and Disney+ Premium allow you to download some Star titles.
It is worth clarifying that it will not be possible to download some ESPN titles, such as live events, replays and linear channels.
What happens to the lists/profiles and settings generated in your Star+ account?
This data will not automatically migrate to Disney+, so you will have to perform all those actions again. “This means that if you already had Star+ or Combo+ and access a Disney+ subscription that includes Star, content saved to My Star+ List or your current viewing history will not appear on Disney+. This also applies to other features, such as your Star+ profiles and settings. The changes you make in Star+ will not be reflected in the Disney+ application or website,” the platform states on its website.
What about those who paid for an annual Star+ subscription?
Those who paid an annual subscription to Star+ can rest assured, the agreement will be honored. Although now they will have to access the content from a new app, Disney+ (with the same data they used to previously enter Star+).
Once this annual plan expires, the corresponding subscription adjustments will be made. If the user does not accept the new terms of the agreement, they may cancel their subscription.
Will Disney+ parental controls apply to Star+ and ESPN content?
Disney+ parental controls will automatically apply to Star+ and ESPN content. “With the arrival of live channels and sporting events on Disney+, you can now also deactivate the Live and Unrated option so that profiles do not see that type of content,” details the platform on its official website.
“It’s important to remember that your profile’s age rating settings on Disney+ may block certain content. If you don’t see any Star or ESPN titles on your Disney+ profile, you may need to change the age rating. You can do it at any time,” he adds.
It is worth noting that Star+ or ESPN content will not be displayed on profiles with Junior Mode activated.
What happens if you can’t access Star+ or ESPN content on Disney+?
If you do not see Star+ and ESPN content on Disney+, some filters may be activated that are preventing it. The first thing that is recommended from the platform, if you cannot access it, is to review the parental controls. “It may be necessary to change the age rating or activate the Live Content option to watch Star and ESPN content on Disney+,” they warn.
It is also recommended to check what content is included in the plan you have because, in some cases, you may need a different plan to watch some Star+ and ESPN titles.
