Netflix continues to increase the cast of One Piece for its second season, one that aims very high and that awaits great surprises
Over the past few days, Netflix has been slowly revealing the new characters that will appear in the second season of the One Piece live-action series. After learning who will play Mr. 3, Dorry, and Broggy, the company has now revealed the actors who will play several characters that will be much talked about this season.
Through its social networks, the company has presented up to four new actors who will join during this second season:
- Callum Kerr will play Smokerwho will have significant weight beyond the second season due to his tireless fight to see Luffy behind bars.
- Julia Rehwald be TashigiSmoker’s right-hand woman and swordswoman who, curiously, bears a strong resemblance to Kuina, Zoro’s best friend.
- Rob Colleti it will become in Wapol, the main villain of Drum’s arc and one of the next season’s big comic reliefs. Over time, he became a fairly important character in the series’ story.
- Ty Keogh will give life to daltonWapol’s right-hand man and one of the characters who will have the most empathy towards the Straw Hats, being also a great defender of the inhabitants of Drum.
So far, the vast majority of actors that Netflix has signed are faces little known to the general public, so for many of them it will be their first big role in a project of these characteristics. At the moment, it is unknown if this season will finally come to fruition. Alabasta or will remain in Drum to adapt the first major arc of the work in its third season.
What is certain is that we will finally see the first flashback that made a legion of fans cry: Chopper’s past, which shows the life and death of Hiruluka character who, despite having appeared in very limited episodes, became one of the public’s favorites.
