“The tailor” (“Terzi” in its original language and “The Tailor” in English) is a Turkish Netflix series created by Onur Güvenatam and directed by Cem Karci. The thrilling and suspenseful drama follows a famous tailor who gets caught up in a web of secrets that will change the lives of him, a friend, and his fiancée.
Çağatay Ulusoy, Şifanur Gül, Salih Bademci, Olgun Şimşek, Ece Sükan, Zeynep Özyurt Tarhan, Murat Kilic, Celile Toyon, Vedat Erincin and Lila Gürmen make up the cast of the fiction written by Rana Mamatlioglu and Bekir Baran Sitki.
The seven episodes of “The tailor” are available on Netflix only from May 2, 2023but fans of Turkish soap operas and users of the popular streaming platform are already asking for a second season.
“THE TAILOR”, WILL IT HAVE ANOTHER SEASON?
The short answer is yes. In addition to the fact that the last chapter leaves the way prepared to continue with the story of Peyami Dokumacı, Dimitri and Esvet, after the final scene a brief preview of the second installment of the Ottoman Netflix series is shown.
At the end of the first season of “The Tailor”, the secrets that Peyami, Esvet and Dimitri’s family are hiding are revealed and a confrontation ensues at the ranch. The discussion of these three characters ends in an unexpected tragedy.
The second season of the Turkish drama has yet to answer several questions. Among them, will Peyami survive the shot? Will Ari and his wife pay for their crimes? Will Esvet she claim what is hers and was taken from her when she was a baby? What will happen to Peyami’s mother? What other secrets do the protagonists hide?
So far, no member of the creative team has made any comments regarding a possible second season. But it is clear that the actors Cagatay Ulusoy, Sifanur Gül and Salih Bademci will reprise their roles in the new chapters.
For now, it only remains to wait for Netflix to share more details such as the release date, the plot, and the number of new episodes.
