Jerusalem, April 18 (EFE).- The Israeli Army reported this Thursday that it had killed two suspected Hezbollah militiamen in the Kfarkela area, in southern Lebanon, in air strikes last night, according to a military statement. .

In the note, Israeli troops assure that their fighter planes also attacked in the last few hours a “series of terrorist infrastructure” of the Lebanese group located in the Khiam area, also near the country’s southern border.

“Our soldiers also fired in that area to eliminate an imminent threat,” they added in the statement.

During yesterday afternoon, Israel also launched various air attacks, in this case in the Baalbek area, northern Lebanon where, they say in the statement, there were “terrorist objectives” of the Shiite militia.

The Israeli attacks come after Hezbollah on Wednesday claimed responsibility for a bombing of a community center located in an Israeli village bordering Lebanon, which left at least 18 wounded, including 14 soldiers.

According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, one of the uniformed men is in critical condition.

Magen emergency coordinator David Adom explained to EFE yesterday that when members of the emergency teams were in the area caring for the injured, new attacks occurred.

The Lebanese group, which claimed responsibility for this attack, assured that its actions were against a military reconnaissance center in response to two Israeli bombings that killed three members of the group on Tuesday in separate areas of southern Lebanon.

The border between Israel and Lebanon is experiencing its highest peak of tension since 2006 with an intense exchange of fire for more than five months that has claimed the lives of at least 382 people, most on the Lebanese side and in the ranks of Hezbollah. which has confirmed 257 militia casualties, some in Syria.

In Israel, 18 people have died in the north (10 soldiers and 8 civilians); while on the other side of the border at least 364 people have died, including 46 members of other militias, a Lebanese soldier and 60 civilians, including ten minors and three journalists, in addition to Hezbollah fighters.
