Death toll and injuries rise in Gaza due to Israeli attacks

The territory’s health authorities highlighted in their most recent report on the subject that the majority of the victims are women and minors.

They stated that, in the last 24 hours, the troops of the neighboring country committed three massacres that left 28 dead and 51 injured.

The death toll does not include the more than 10,000 Palestinians buried under rubble in the Strip after almost seven months of attacks, according to data from rescue teams and ambulances.

The accumulation of thousands of corpses caused the spread of diseases and epidemics, especially in recent weeks due to high temperatures, which accelerate the decomposition of bodies, officials said.

For its part, the official Wafa news agency reported that dozens of people were killed or injured this morning as a result of the Israeli attacks.

At least six citizens died in the early morning in a bombing against the town of Al-Zahraa, located in the center of the coastal enclave.

Another died and many were injured in a similar incident that occurred in the southern city of Khan Yunis, one of the hardest hit by the Army’s ground operations.

The areas of Bani Suhaila, Abasan and Khuza, in that city, witnessed intense air attacks, the news outlet detailed.

Two deaths and several injuries were also reported in the northern city of Gaza due to raids by the Israeli Air Force.

In turn, artillery fired at homes in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Ajlin, Tal Al-Hawa and Al-Zaytoun, in that town.

Meanwhile, the Al Jazeera television correspondent in the territory reported violent attacks in recent hours against various areas of the enclave, where 2.3 million people live.

The journalist reported violent clashes between Israeli soldiers and Hamas militiamen in the Al-Mughraqa area.
