Two men were arrested this Thursday afternoon accused of being responsible for five violent robberies this month in various sectors of the city.

The subjects were identified as Nahuel Vera (23) and Sebastián Burgos (21) and were captured in Spain and Millia by personnel from the Patrol Command and Fourth Police Station after a chase.

Burgos and Vera were identified as the perpetrators of three armed robberies on public roads, one at a business and another at a service station. In the latter they were filmed and along with other videos, the investigators found them. All crimes were committed this month.

The two men tried to escape on a motorcycle, but ended up ditching it and tried to flee on foot, but were eventually subdued. The vehicle they ruled out was stolen.

In this same case, the police carried out two raids, one in Virgen de San Nicolás at 3400, where a cell phone and various parts of motorcycles without numbers were seized; and the other in Federico Baeza at 3000, where marijuana was found in buds, a sawed-off carbine with a magazine and five .22 ammunition, a Maheli .32 rifle. Valentina Esparza (19) and Joaquín Vera (19) were detained at that last residence.
