Condolences expressed in Ecuador for the death of the president of Iran (+Photo +Post)

A representative of the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry came to the Iranian embassy in Quito to sign a book of condolences.

Likewise, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in this South American nation expressed their regret, including the ambassadors of Cuba, Russia, China, Qatar, Indonesia, among others.

Assembly members, such as Pamela Aguirre, from the Citizen Revolution movement; members of the Ecuador-Iran Interparliamentary Friendship Group; and the Andean parliamentarian Virgilio Hernández; They were present to show solidarity with the Persian nation for the loss of its leader.

Journalism students from the Central University of Ecuador, representatives of social and political organizations, together with Iranian citizens residing here, also went to the diplomatic headquarters in Tehran to show their support for the Iranian ambassador, Ahamad Paberja.

Members of the Coordinator for Peace, Sovereignty, Integration and Non-Interference (CPAZ), the Ecuadorian Committee of Solidarity with Bolivia and the Procultur Corporation, expressed their regret in a letter delivered the day before to Ambassador Pabarja.

“A wise and brave leader and his closest collaborators have left us, we are only consoled by the certainty that the Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared for any event, no matter how catastrophic it may be for us at this unfortunate moment,” the letter stated.

Raisi and his entourage died on Sunday, May 19, in a plane crash, after carrying out a working tour through the province of East Azerbaijan, in the northwest of the country.
