A young woman was saved from being run over by the steam locomotive known as The Empress when I was trying to take a close up photo in the state of Coahuila, Mexico. During the last few hours, a woman died instantly after being hit in the head when she tried to take a selfie.
As can be seen in the images spread on social networks, several people had approached the tracks to record the passage of the historic train The Empress 2816, coming from Canada.

Among them was a young woman who was in the edge of the tracks with the intention of taking a photo of the moment when the train passed by, which ended up colliding with his hands and causing his cell phone to fly. Fortunately the woman was not injured.
A similar accident with a cyclist in Brazil
A similar accident, although not fatal, occurred in Brazil, when a cyclist was hit in the head by a train while posing for a selfie with a group of friends in the rural area of Uberaba. In the video you can see that the woman then hits one of her friends, who falls to the floor.

In the video, you can see that the cyclists did not move away and continued posing for photos and videos despite the driver honking the horn several times to warn them of the danger.
Shortly after impact, a woman can be heard screaming: “Lie down, lie down.” . One of her colleagues asks her: “What happened” And she answered: “He hit me”. Another cyclist tried to calm her down: “Calm down, it’s okay, breathe, breathe.”
Firefighters reported that while they were treating the victim, she said she did not realize that she was so close to the train. According to what they said, she only fractured a rib, while a friend suffered a cut on her thigh due to the impact.
