In intensive care there is a 18-year-old young man who was admitted to the San Felipe Hospital since last Monday after having been stung by a scorpion while he was sleeping at home.

The incident occurred in Ramallo, Argentina. The victim of the scorpion was identified as Laureano Delfante.
According to the medical report, the young man was taken to the José María Gomendio Hospital by his relatives after reporting that he was feeling ill. His clinical condition worsened rapidly and examinations revealed the sting of a scorpion on two occasions.
Given his condition, specialists referred Delfante to the San Felipe Hospital, where he is now hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.
According to the information revealed by the media outlet TN, the young man is critical and is receiving “mechanical ventilation and medications” to treat inflammation and myocarditis that he suffers from.
Delfante’s life is in danger, despite having shown a slight improvement in some short periods.
The young man’s family and friends do not understand how the scorpion came to have contact with Delfante. However, In prayers they ask for a speedy recovery.
“Doctors cannot understand how he could have done so much harm to a young person. If the patient were a baby, the condition can be expected to have this severity, but not in an 18-year-old boy. “We just have to pray and hope that a miracle happens.” said a relative of the young man.
