In that same period, the city should total 10.3 million national visitors, for an increase of six percent compared to the same period of the previous year, specified the municipal Department of Tourism.
According to the entity, the Hanoi tourism industry should receive estimated income of about $2.2 billion from January to June of this year, 22.98 percent more than at the same stage in 2023.
Awarded as the leading city break destination and best city destination in Asia in 2024, Hanoi currently has 4,760 accommodation establishments totaling more than 71,000 rooms.
The Vietnamese capital, also considered the Best Gastronomic Destination in the World 2024, has been affirming its position as an important tourist center in the country while popularizing its image and tourist brand at a regional and global level.
To attract more tourists, VNA news agency said, Hanoi put several novel products on the market, including the “South Thang Long Heritage Road – Hanoi” tourist route, the Mien Village community destination, and the Hanoi – Hanoi route. Ha Nam – Ninh Binh, as well as other cultural and spiritual tourism programs.
